Description
Rainforest plum is an edible fruit tree native to the atlantic rainforest of brazil. It is known locally by the portuguese names cambui roxo or murtinha.the tree is relatively rare in the wild and is occasionally used in landscaping for its bright green foliage and purple-black fruits. Rainforest plum has thin purple-black skin and a wet, firm, whitish pulp surrounding a loose single seed.
